This is good stuff. It can be gluten free using rice pasta, or all potatoes

This feeds 7 and calls for:

Soak beans for a day, boil them (pressure cookers are good). 

Dice the yams/carrots into small cubes (small ones take longer to cut, but less time to cook).  Bring them to a boil then slowly lower the heat, just barely keeping the boil.  I am not sure the exact time, I usually just taste them once in a while and wing it.  You can't really overcook them if you use low heat, but this can take over an hour. 

Meanwhile - cook the beef and onions toether in a pot.  Remove and cook veggies in that pot, add miso, spices and cheese when theyre almost done.  Return meat/onions to this pot.

Add meat to the yams and beans.  Put everything else in now.

It stays good in the fridge for about 7 days using gasket-sealed containers.
