Carl Carlsen

Carl Carlsen is Professor of English at North Shore Community College, where he has taught since 1974. He has published Brickyard Stories: A Lynn Neighborhood and Its Traditions, compiled The Poetry of Lynn: An Anthology with Talking Points, and written The Soul of the City: Lynn Poetry in the Nineteenth Century. Currently, he is completing the Nahant portion of The Poetry of Places of Essex County. Professor Carlsen also organizes the annual Celebration of the Poetry of Lynn, held during April, National Poetry Month, in conjunction with the Lynn Museum.
